As you may have noticed my entire gallery's gone into storage. I'm leaving the stamps so people can continue using them but everything else has been cleared out.
I've re-uploaded my personal favorites to my new account but the majority are going to stay in storage and needless to say I wont be uploading to this account anymore.
Thank you guys for all the book recommendations. I've got a nice big list to work my way through now so I appreciate it :3
And new CSS since my old one was borked, I can only assume DA changed something somewhere which caused it to go weird... I just wish I knew enough about CSS to actually make my own
Anyway, I'm in need of something new to read. I'm rereading the Republic commando books while I wait for the fourth in the series to be released and working my way through the Conan books but I neeeed mooooar. (admittedly I do have war of the worlds and a couple of other books I haven't touched yet but mreh, I'll get to them eventually).
So does anyone have any suggestions? I'll read just about anything as long as it's good, regardless of genre and the like.
[edit] yeah I know my CSS is going nuts, I'm trying to figure it out since nothing's changed since my last entry but it's borked =/
I've made a start on going through all my old submissions and watermarking them. I've also had a bit of a clear out and put some older stuff I don't like anymore into storage so don't worry if stuff starts vanishing, it's just time for tidy up as I like my gallery to reflect where I'm at now, not a year ago.
Those of you who don't watermark... DO IT. DO IT NOW. Even if you don't think your art is worth stealing it isn't worth the hassle and headache later on. Watermarks are ugly yes and I hate them but I'm kicking myself so much right now.
Regarding the usage of my photos:
I don't mind people saving my photos for their personal use but as I've stated so many times before, my art is not stock, because I choose to post it on the web doesn't mean it belongs to anyone to do what they want with. If I find my photos reposted I will do everything within my rights to get them removed. Most people are polite enough to remove them after being asked to but those that don't can fully expect to be reported to which ever website they're hosted on, the likely outcome of which is the images been removed or their getting banned.
If that fails then I have no qualms about escalating it further. Legally speaking a website has a legal responsibility to remove copyrighted material upon notification from the copyright holder or someone speaking on their behalf. The party who's had the material removed then has the right to question the removal but given that a) I have the original files and b) mine where posted on DA long before they where reposted, mhmm I wonder who's in the wrong here?
I would suggest using some common sense but I think we all know that's something art thieves have never heard of.
